Today, the Media Center of the People's Defense Forces (HPG) issued a statement revealing the outcome of the battles during the month of June.

It stated:

The fascist Turkish nation-state regime has made its goal to eliminate all beliefs and ethnic groups through massacres and assimilation with the exception of Sunnis and Turks, and to transform all sects and peoples in Turkey into Turks and Sunnis.

That is why it committed many brutal massacres. On the second and third of July 1993, 34 Alawiti s were brutally murdered in Sivas. On the thirtieth anniversary of this massacre against humanity, we remember with respect the martyrs of democracy and the people who lost their lives in Sivas.

Use of chemical weapons 26 times

The Turkish occupation army carried out massive attacks in northern Kurdistan, and relentlessly bombed the legitimate defense areas by land and air.

During the month of June, the legitimate defense areas and northern Kurdistan were bombed 127 times with warplanes, 40 times with attack helicopters, and 2148 with artillery, tanks, heavy weapons, and prohibited bombs.

The chemical weapons were used against our positions in the resistance squares 26 times, and bulldozers were used to destroy our tunnels.

Death toll of the Turkish occupation army reached 44 soldiers

"Our forces, which were in a state of self-defense against the attacks of the Turkish enemy, from June 13 onwards, entered into a state of carrying out effective operations, and dealt strong blows to the Turkish occupation army, against the enemy’s attacks. Our forces carried out 45 operations during the month of June, as these operations resulted in the death of 44 Turkish soldiers and the destruction of the Rio vehicle, camera and radar system."

The banner of struggle for the martyrs will triumph

In the month of June, which is the month of sacrifice, comrade Gemkin (Sami Ozdemir), Bahoz (Amit Korkmaz), Zain (Dylan Gok Alp), and Masum (Vat Ayhan) were martyred in Amed, in the areas of legitimate defense, and comrade Asia ( Kadria Ttic), Azad (Thomas John Spice), Koger (Diako Saidi), Zan, Zagros and Berkhudan, in the spirit of Apo sacrifice and those who rose up against all kinds of injustice and pressures, our martyr comrades were from Botan to Sarhad, from Amed to eastern Kurdistan.
