Lawyers, families submit new requests to meet Imrali detainees

The lawyers and families of the leader Abdullah Ocalan and the other Imrali detainees (Omar Khairi Konar, Hamili Yildirim and Vesi Aktaş) applied for a meeting with them on the occasion of Eid al-Adha.

Today, the brother of the leader Abdullah Ocalan, Muhammad Ocalan and his client Mazloum Deng, as well as the brother of Omar Khairy Konar, Ali Konar, the brother of Hamili Yıldırım, Polat Yıldırım, and the sister of Veysi Aktash, Maliha Cetin, submitted a request to the Office of the Republican Public Prosecutor in Bursa and the Prison Directorate Imrali in order to meet them on the occasion of Eid al-Adha.

The lawyers of Al-Asr Human Rights Office (Ibrahim Bilmes, Radia Ozturk, Omran Amekji, and Cengiz Yurkali) also submitted a request to the Republican Public Prosecutor's Office in Bursa and the Imrali Prison Directorate to meet with their four clients in the notorious Imrali Prison.

The Turkish state imposes strict isolation on the leader and the other three Imrali detainees, no information has been received about them since March 25, 2021.
