Casualties over drone attack on city of Qardaha

An agency affiliated with the Damascus government reported that a citizen was killed and another was slightly wounded in the city of Qardaha. As a result of the explosion of two missiles fired by a drone, which said that "they came from terrorist organizations in the northern countryside of Latakia."

The agency stated, quoting a security source, that "one of the two shells landed in agricultural lands next to the Al-Qardaha clinic, killing engineer Muhammad Hani Sultana (25 years old), injuring another citizen with minor injuries, and causing material damage to a building."

For its part, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights reported that successive explosions were heard in the countryside of Latakia, caused by the fall of two small missile shells by a drone of unknown origin, on the Dahiya area in the vicinity of Qardaha in the countryside of Latakia, which led to the death of a person and others were injured as a preliminary outcome, in addition to material damage.

This is the first targeting of its kind in Qardaha.

This came hours after a drone targeted the city of Salhab in the western countryside of Hama, killing 3 people, a woman and two children, and wounding a man and a woman.
