PKK: May 1 will become new phase in struggle of free Kurdistan, democratic Turkey

The Leadership Committee of the Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) issued a statement, on the occasion of May 1, International Workers' Day, stating:

"We receive the first of May in a very critical historical period, we go out to the squares on the day of unity, solidarity and struggle, and we escalate the struggle for freedom and democracy, first and foremost in the person of the martyrs of taqseem in 1977  and also in the person of the member of the Central Committee of the PKK Muhammad Kara Songur and Ramadan Kaplan, we remember All our martyrs on the first of May with appreciation and respect, as we salute the historical resistance of leader Apo in Imrali and our comrades in prisons and mountains, as well as the general resistance of our people in the squares. We are confident that the first of May will become a new beginning in the struggle of free Kurdistan and a democratic Turkey.
