Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu confirmed, in a press interview, that his country's forces will not withdraw from northern Iraq and Syria.

Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu told a lot of lies during his speech, saying that they do not aspire to "Annexing parts of the Syrian lands," adding that his country will not withdraw from northern Syria except "when security is established and full stability returns to those areas," knowing that the areas occupied by Turkey are from Syria is witnessing chaos, killings, kidnappings, looting, and fighting between mercenaries on an almost daily basis, while its occupying forces of Iraq carry out attacks and almost continuous bombing of Iraqi regions, killing civilians, looting and destroying border villages.

The Syrian opposition writer and politician, Ali Al-Amin al-Suwaid, saw that the Turkish occupation state, led by the Justice and Development Party, took advantage of the Syrian crisis to complete Turkey's expansionist project, which began with the annexation of İskenderun from northwestern Syria and did not stop completing the realization of the Turkish Misak-ı Millî, except because of the weakness of the Turkish state.

Al-Suwaid explained in an interview with ANHA’s agency: "When the political and military weakness afflicted both Syria and Iraq, Turkey took advantage of the circumstance and occupied vast areas of northern Iraq and northern Syria under the pretext of fighting terrorism."

Al-Suwaid pointed out that "when the foreign minister of the Turkish occupation state declares that he will not withdraw from northern Syria and Iraq, he acknowledges the fact that Turkey has reinforced its presence on these lands and considers them their right, and will not withdraw from them at any cost."

Al-Suwaid believes that "the occupied territories are considered areas of gangs, thugs, and everything that is outside the law. The reason for this is that Turkey unleashed the mercenary factions that raise the flag of the revolution fraudulently and falsely to plunder the goods of the occupied areas and force citizens to flee, which achieves the demographic change that it seeks." Al-Suwaid explained that Turkish officials are trying to hide Turkey's ultimate goal of its presence in northern Syria by lying to the local and international media by giving false pretexts and reasons for their forces to stay in northern Syria or not to withdraw. If we enumerated these pretexts, we would find among them: the establishment of a safe zone to protect the Syrians, the protection of Turkish national security, and ensuring the preservation of the Syrian territorial integrity.

The Syrian opposition writer and politician, Ali Al-Amin Al-Suwaid, pointed out that Turkey will not withdraw from northern Syria, whether Erdogan loses the elections or not. Turkish occupiers.

The representative of the Iraqi Conquest Alliance, Karim Aliwi, described Davutoglu's statements as "an explicit declaration of occupation," telling Iraqi media: "The statements of the Turkish Foreign Minister, Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu, are an explicit declaration of occupation, and this is rejected. We will not accept the survival of those occupying forces inside Iraqi territory, especially with the presence of Parliamentary decision to remove all foreign forces from Iraq," according to Roj news agency.

Aliwi stated that "the Iraqi Ministry of Foreign Affairs is required to summon the Turkish ambassador in Baghdad and hand him a protest note against the statements of the Turkish Foreign Minister, and Ankara's insistence that its occupying forces remain in northern Iraq," calling for action towards the international community to remove those forces, which pose a threat to Iraqi national security.

For his part, Amer al-Fayez, a member of the Foreign Relations Committee in the Iraqi Parliament, said, " Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu 's statement must be considered by holding an emergency session in the Arab League and in the presence of all Arab countries in order to prove the Arab position in support of Iraq against Turkey," stressing that Davutoglu's statements " It is a violation of national sovereignty."

Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu's statements as a result of Iraqi political weakness

Commenting on the statements of the Turkish Minister of Foreign Affairs, Najm al-Qassab, the Iraqi researcher and political analyst, said that what prompted Ankara to make such a statement was the "political and media weakness of the Iraqi state."

Al-Qassab explained in an interview with ANHA’s agency, "Turkey is exploiting and investing in the crises inside Iraq, and is also trying to transfer the crises facing its country at the economic, political and social levels to neighboring countries, especially Iraq and Syria."

The political analyst believed that Turkey would not be able to continue with this culture and this approach if there was a real force within the Iraqi state to confront these attacks, noting: "The Iraqi government can use the culture of reciprocity, that is, all imports and goods that come from Turkey to Iraq will be stopped, what It will lead to the collapse of the Turkish economy, which is already facing a depreciation of the Turkish currency."
