The Iraqi Minister of Water Resources, Aoun Dhiab, saying, the country is going through the worst year. Because of the decline in the water level in the Tigris and Euphrates rivers, he warned that what is to come is "more difficult."

Dhiab revealed during an interview that "Iraq's current reservoirs are the lowest since 1993 since the start of recording hydrological data historically."

"What we receive from Turkey is less than half of the decision," Dhiab added.

Dhiab also stressed that "Iraq was unable to explain the scale of the problem to the international community, calling for increased international support."
