In less than 24 hours...another earthquake hits southwestern Iran

The Earthquake Center of the Institute of Geophysics at the University of Tehran announced that the earthquake occurred at 4:41 a.m. today, Wednesday, at a depth of 11 km from the ground.

The earthquake occurred 113 km northwest of Bandar Abbas in the south of the country.

The earthquake did not cause any injuries.

It is noteworthy that an earthquake measuring 5.3 on the Richter scale struck, on Tuesday morning, the village of Daraz on the outskirts of Laristan, Fars Province.

The director of emergencies in Fars province, Khalil Abdullahi, announced that the rescue teams had been dispatched to the site of the event, indicating that the earthquake occurred at 9:35 am on Tuesday, at a depth of 10 km from the surface of the earth.

In press statements, the Executive Director of the Iranian Red Crescent Society in Fars province, "Hussein Darvishi," announced that the Red Crescent center in Fars province is still on high alert in anticipation of any repercussions resulting from this accident.
