Women rights activists on the strict isolation of Ocalan: Turkey does not comply with international laws

Human rights activists from the city of Raqqa and women from al-Hasakah denounced the isolation imposed on the leader Ocalan, and called on women to intensify their anti-isolation activities and wage a multifaceted struggle to achieve the physical freedom of the leader Abdul Ocalan.

The fascist Turkish state imposes a regime of strict isolation on the leader Abdullah Ocalan, disregarding all international laws, amid international silence from all international human rights organizations.

A member of the Lawyers Union in Raqqa, human rights activist Khadija Budaiwi, commented on the international conspiracy that was plotted against the leader Ocalan in 1998 and his kidnapping on February 15, 1999 from the Kenyan capital, Nairobi, saying: "Since the kidnapping of the leader Ocalan, he has not been tried in a legal manner."

Khadija referred to the ill-treatment of the leader Ocalan in Imrali prison, and indicated, "The court that sentenced the leader Ocalan is an illegitimate court and is not worthy of being a court."

She added, "The leader is deprived of his most basic rights, and is prevented from meeting his relatives, relatives, and lawyers in Imrali Prison. All these actions prove that the Turkish government did not conduct this trial in a fair manner."

Khadija touched on the deprivation of leader Ocalan of the right to hope, saying: "International covenants stipulate that if any prisoner is punished with life, he is allowed to be released from prison after spending 25 years in prison (the period varies from one country to another), and now he has been imprisoned for more than 23 years old, but the Turkish state does not comply with these laws.”

For her part, the co-chair of the Lawyers' Union in Raqqa, Reem al-Shana'a, confirmed, "Since the kidnapping of the leader and thinker Ocalan, he has been subject to a strict isolation regime imposed by the Turkish state, which is contrary to international laws."

She noted, "Depriving the leader Ocalan of the right to hope, and the right to release, which is stipulated in all international laws, is a flagrant violation of these laws." It demanded that he be removed from his isolation, released, and given the right of hope to be implemented to international laws.

"Leader Ocalan is the key to solutions to the problems of the Middle East"

Meanwhile, a member of the Women's Coordination in North and East Syria, Giyan Hussein, indicated that the Turkish occupation state is trying by all means and all methods to prevent the meeting with the leader Ocalan; Because it knows very well that the ideas of the leader will be the key to solutions to all the problems and sufferings of the peoples of the Middle East.

She said, "His ideas do not carry a solution for Rojava, Bakur, Başûr, and Rojhilat only, but it will be for the whole world and the Middle East, and for the suffering of women in these sensitive times, who took their role and freedom in this revolution, and made great sacrifices."

She drew attention to the fact that the leader granted women all their rights and launched the slogan "Jin, Jiyan, Azadî" which means (woman, life, freedom). And concerned in order to end the strict isolation of the leader Ocalan.

In her turn, the administrator of the Democratic Society Movement in al-Hasakah canton, Salwa Ahmed, said, "The thought and philosophy of the leader, which is based on freedom and the democratic nation, is sufficient to defeat any force, because he aspires to achieve freedom for all peoples."

Emphasizing, "All the peoples of the world and the Middle East must stand today in the face of enemies, and resist with will and determination for the freedom of the leader and the lifting of the isolation imposed on him."
