​​​​​​​Palestinian activist: We must go to the embassies, hold a sit-in until the liberation of leader Ocalan

Director of Public Relations at the Palestinian Women's Charity Association in Lebanon, Souad Abdel Rahman; One of the Palestinian activists who regularly attend any conference related to the Kurdish issue or leader Abdullah Ocalan.

Souad spoke to ANHA’s agency about her admiration for the thought of leader Ocalan, and the steps that must be taken to achieve his physical freedom, and stated that she traveled to Afrin; In solidarity with Kurdish women, and participated in International Women's Day; For her belief that solidarity with the Kurdish cause is the least duty that women in general, and Palestinians in particular, can do today.

Regarding the steps that are supposed to be taken to publish the "Noun for Ocalan's Freedom" initiative, Souad stressed, "The approach to the European Council is important, but it is not enough. The United Nations must be approached, even if there is pressure on it from some countries, but it is not effective. This initiative must also be published." In Western countries, not only in the countries of North Africa and the Middle East.

Regarding the leader Ocalan, Souad summarized his biography in brief words, as she said: "He is a leader who calls for dialogue and discussion, with a peaceful thought, with a thought built by a person over the years towards a people who have stolen land, freedom, culture and heritage ... away from other methods of dialogue that others follow."

With regard to the absence of the media on the issue of leader Ocalan, Souad explained, "The number of Kurds is more than the number of Palestinians in the diaspora, but what is lacking in the Kurdish issue is the Arab and international media coverage, which is a platform for their voice to be heard in the world, in contrast to several countries that conspire against the facts."

And she continued, "Why are there changes in the Palestinian cause, and do they resonate in the world? Because the media works to communicate the cry, the sound and the image, and this is how it is supposed to reach the Kurdish issue in general, and the issue of leader Ocalan in particular."

Souad stressed that "it is necessary to advocate for this issue globally and internationally through solidarity stands in front of embassies all over the world - as happens on the Day of Solidarity with the Palestinian People - to demand Ocalan's freedom from arrest."

She added, "The Kurdish people have an honorable history with the Palestinian cause, and we are proud of the leader Ocalan, just as we are proud of the leader Salah al-Din al-Ayyubi, and the Kurdish martyrs who were martyred for the cause of Palestine, and the duty that rests upon us today is more solidarity with the Kurdish cause."

Souad concluded, "The Noun Initiative for Ocalan's Freedom must continue its meetings with the embassies and its sit-ins until it achieves its goal, which is the liberation of the leader Abdullah Ocalan physically."
