 The Committee Against Torture (CPT) visited Imrali prison more than once over two decades, but it could not change the situation and conditions of strict isolation imposed on leader Ocalan, and left its reports on the shelf in vain. The Turkish occupation state did not implement any of them.

 Members of the Genology Research Center in Aleppo pointed out that the targeting of activist and academic, Nagihan Akarsal, is the result of the ruling regimes’ obsession with the patriarchal mentality of women’s achievement and gains, and they stressed that no force is capable of defeating women’s revolution and stopping their struggle for liberation.  (Video and photos attached).

 Analysis

 The state policy that prevailed in Syria after Hafez al-Assad came to power through a coup was based on equilibrium and continued in this way.  The long-term survival of the Alawite minority in power is achieved by maintaining internal balances.  Hafez al-Assad's cleverness in domestic politics contributed to maintaining his power, linking foreign policy to bipolarity in the world due to the Cold War, and achieving a good position for Syria.  He has taken a similar approach as well for the Arab world.  His relationship with Palestinian organizations, his influence in Lebanon, and his policies against Israel established the same approach.
