Again, Ocalan lawyers apply for access

A year ago, no information was obtained regarding the situation of the leader Ocalan, who is being held in the Model (F) maximum security prison in Imrali Prison.

A 25 March 2021 leader's brother Mihemet Ocalan  talked on phone to him just for five minutes before the call was cut while the last visit to leader was on 7 August 2019 by his lawyers Nowroz Uysal and Rezan Sarica.

All requests after these meetings were rejected by the Public Prosecution Office in Bursa under pretext of "disciplinary punishment".

The lawyers of Al-Asr Human Rights Office had consulted the Execution Court in Bursa on November 22 of last year, in order to meet with the leader, Omar Khairy Konak, Hamili Yildirim and Weisi Aktash, where they demanded an end to this situation and meet with their client face to face.

But the court rejected their request, and issued a decision banning the meeting for a period of six months on October 12. As for the decision to prevent meeting with lawyers, it was taken on October 12 and ended on April 22, but, despite this decision, it did not allow the lawyers to meet with Leader Ocalan.

The lawyers also resubmitted a request to meet with the leader on April 26, but their request was not answered.
