YPG spokesperson denies Asayish PDK allegations of seizing military equipment sent by units in Dohuk

On Thursday, the spokesman for the People's Protection Units (YPG), Nuri Mahmoud, issued a statement to the media and public opinion, a copy of which we received.

It stated:

“The KDP Asayish made allegations on the 26th of this April. According to these allegations, military equipment sent by the People’s Protection Unit was seized in Dohuk. We have no relation to this military equipment seized in Dohuk by the KDP Asayish.

This claim states that this equipment was sent by a YPG official, Rudi Hussein. There is no one in the ranks of the People's Protection Units with that name. This incident that the Kurdistan Democratic Party says are not true. With such news, the KDP is trying to hide its alliance with the Turkish occupying state. It also seeks to show the occupation attacks of the Turkish state as legitimate. The publication of such allegations in conjunction with the increase in the occupation attacks on Başûr Kurdistan and NE Syria raises doubts. It wants to target the Rojava Revolution and its people with such news on purpose and damage its diplomatic relations. It is also trying to neutralize the reactions of the Kurdish public opinion against it with such news. Our people and public opinion should not believe such news."
