On 26 March, the Kurdistan Communities Union (KCK) revealed through a statement that the Turkish occupying state had prepared a plan for an attack on the Guerrilla, directly joined the Kurdish Democratic Party (KDP), warned against its accession, called on the Parliament of Southern Kurdistan and its political parties to stand up to these occupation plans, and warned the Kurdish people against the actions of the Kurdish Democratic Party.

The co-chair of the Green Democratic Party, Laqman Ahmi, stressed in ANHA’s agency statement that this was not the first time that the KDP had taken a stand alongside anti-HPG schemes. He said: "The Turkish occupying state launched several attacks on the People’s Defence Forces (HPG), it was unable to achieve any result, and the PDK had to draw a lesson that its path alongside Turkey was wrong."

The general Kurdish people must stand up to democratic cooperation with Turkey

He explained that "At this sensitive stage in which the fate of the peoples, including the Kurdish people, is determined, the PDK must take another path, the unity of Kurdish forces." The Turkish occupying state had historically not granted the Kurds their rights. He said: "These gentlemen (the Kurdistan Democratic Party), while going to Turkey, see this well, see how the Turkish authorities prevent Kurdish uniforms and the Kurdish language."

He said: "Unfortunately, despite repeated appeals, we do not see any response from Kurdistan Democratic officials, so our people in Southern Kurdistan and in all Kurdistan must stand up to the Turkish attacks and the participation of the Kurdistan Democratic Party in them."

KDP will pay the price

He called on the parliament of Southern Kurdistan to act; Because it was elected by the people, and the need for Parliament to impose the demands of the people on the government and parties of Southern Kurdistan, which are moving against the interests of Southern Kurdistan, he said: "In a place where my flag is not recognized, I must not strengthen relations with it. We must not strengthen relations with the forces that were asked for support during ISIS/ Daesh attacks and have not met the demand. We must be well aware of the reality of these regimes, not support them in order to launch attacks on a Kurdish force striving for the rights and freedom of the Kurdistan people. "

He went on to say” if KDP participated in the attacks against HPG’s fighters would pay the highest price for it, owing that out people did not accept like this cowardly attack, it was clear in1990s, how everyone saw that our people revolted and took firm position in that period.

In the 1990s, the Turkish occupying state, with the participation of the Kurdistan Democratic Party, launched attacks against the People’s Defence Forces (HPG) in legitimate defence areas, and the general Kurdish people rose against this involvement, adding: "In the event that the Turkish scheme is implemented, our people will stand ready for the scheme. The situation is not what it was 24 years ago. People suffer from democratic politics (KDP). Now in the Iraqi elections, we see how the KDP has allied itself with the Turkish occupying state and those who support its policies. "

He called upon the Kurdistan Democratic Party (PDK) to reverse its policies and move away from the Turkish trap, "to preserve the history of the Peshmerga against the occupying states, to unite with the people and to heed the calls of the Kurdistan forces; in order to unify the Kurdish class and develop a common Kurdish strategy at all levels, political, military and economic, so that they can realize the aspirations of the Kurdish people.”
