After amputated his leg as Turkish attacks, AANES bears costs of treatment the child Abdo Hanifi

After his leg was amputated as a result of the Turkish attacks on his village in Kobani countryside, the Autonomous Administration undertook the treatment of the 4-year-old Abdo Hanifi.

The child Abdo Mustafa Hanifi, was injured during Turkish artillery shelling on village of Qara Mogh in Kobani countryside on January 8, and his leg was amputated due to his severe injury.

According to Mostafa Hanifi, father of the child Abdo, his son’s condition is currently stable, but doctors say that when Abdo grows up to the age of 18, he will require installation of a prosthetic leg for him, where it will have to be changed once every 6 months

Mustafa Hanifi says that his financial situation does not help him in treating his son, and confirmed that no organizations concerned with the protection of children's and human rights have contacted him, and added: "None of them have contacted us so far to find out the situation of my child and the Turkish crimes against our children."

Hanifi concluded his speech by saying "I call on all organizations and authorities concerned with the protection of children's rights and human rights to deter Turkey, stop its attacks on the region and put an end to its ongoing crimes against our people."

For his part, the co-chair of the Executive Council in the Euphrates region, Muhammad Shaheen, said that the Autonomous Administration is responsible for expenses of treating the child Abdo

In an interview with ANHA, Shaheen indicated that the Autonomous Administration in the Euphrates region bears all expenses of treating the child Abdo since his injury and his presence in the hospital until the age of 18, whether by installing a prosthetic leg for him or changing it.

Shaheen confirmed that the Health Body, in coordination with the Social Affairs Authority in the Euphrates region, will supervise condition of the child Abdo throughout his treatment.

He noted that if any organization wants to bear some of the costs, this will be done in coordination with the Social Affairs Authority, stressing that so far no humanitarian organization has taken the initiative to take care of treatment of the child Abdo Mustafa Hanifi.

It is noteworthy that the child Abdo Mustafa Hanifi is among 6 members of one family who were injured as a result of the Turkish shells on the border village of Qara Mogh in Kobani on January 8, in addition to targeting the center of Kobani city and other border villages, which led to martyrdom a civilian and 12 injured.

A few days later, the Turkish occupation re-targeted the area, which resulted in killing a member from Damascus government forces.
