Participants in Freedom Ship event: Mr. Ocalan' democratic confederation project is an alternative solution

On the 9th of November, number of academics, politicians, artists, writers, activists, actors and activists of the women's movement in Germany, France, Switzerland, Brazil, Spain, Sweden, Greece, Italy and England participated in the Freedom Ship event, under the slogan "it is time for freedom for leader Ocalan and peace for Kurdistan" from Lavrio, Athens, to Naples, Italy.

On the 9th of November this year; The ship, which comes in the framework of the global campaign under the slogan "It is time for freedom for the leader Ocalan and peace for Kurdistan", sailed from Lavrio in Athens, towards Naples, Italy.

Freedom ship, that demand the physical freedom of leader Abdullah Ocalan, arrived to Naples on the 12th of this November, coincides with the 23 anniversary of the arrival of leader Ocalan to Italy, and it was greeted by massive crowds in seeking to disseminate Ocalan’s ideology.

Maria Florence Guarsh from Brazil, Najia Damir, member of the Kurdish Women’s Movement in Europe, and Raja Ben Kounin, member of the Coordinator of the People's Union in Italy, are participants in the event spoke to ANHA agency

" Leader Ocalan' Democratic Confederation project is a strong alternative solution "

Guarsh commented on the event, saying: "this event is also for the solution of the Kurdish issue. Leader Ocalan' democratic confederation model shows the way against capitalist modernity, and as a person living in Latin America, I understand well the impact of fascism on our daily life, as our people continue their struggle against tyrannical violence since 1492, and until now the genocide against our people continues, therefore, we notice that we have commonalities with the Kurdish people.

Maria Guarsh stressed the need to fight dictatorship with the principles of democracy, saying "At this stage, all peoples must unite in their struggle, and I would like to say that Mr. Ocalan's thought of democratic confederation is a strong alternative solution for all of us."

It is a great honor for everyone who has boarded this ship.”

Member of the Union of Peoples coordination (CUB) Raja Ben Kounin explained: "I am glad to be on this ship that demands the leader Ocalan' freedom and conveys his philosophy to the whole people. We are doing our best through the activities to achieve the physical freedom of the leader Abdullah Ocalan.

Raja Ben Kounin stressed the need for the freedom of great thinker Abdullah Ocalan, saying: "This ship has a strong influence and I am proud to be on board and we will tell everyone about this trip when we go back."

She continued, "leader Ocalan philosophy must be spread around the world, and in the beginning, the youth must train on the leader Abdullah Ocalan thoughts, we are going through an economic, health and social crisis and the hopes of different societies give us the strength to continue.”

We will oppose governments that reject revolutionary organizations such as the Kurdistan Workers' Party'

Raja Ben Kounin said:” that the event included many dignitaries from different countries who chanted "Think globally, accept the indigenous people.”

"We will escalate our struggle for the leader freedom who has been subjected to unjust laws for several years, and all participants will escalate their struggle more when they return to their country."

She also indicated the importance of lifting isolation imposed on all political detainees, especially the leader Abdullah Ocalan, adding: "We will oppose the governments that ban revolutionary organizations such as Kurdistan Workers' Party, when they fear an organization they ban it, but the model established by PKK is accepted by all peoples.

When a new model of society is created against capitalist modernity, the nation states try to eliminate it, but they do not know that our faith is strong, and we know that the leader will obtain his physical freedom and his philosophy will disseminate in the whole world".

Leader Ocalan's freedom is the demand of millions

Also Najia Demir, member of the Kurdish Women's Movement in Europe, said: "The international conspiracy against the leader Abdullah Ocalan started from Greece that international powers participated in this conspiracy. Which the leader Ocalan went to Europe to solve the Kurdish issue, but unfortunately, the capitalist countries prevented that.”

Najia Demir, stressed that they will deliver their message to the whole world for Leader Abdullah Ocalan' freedom, saying: "The Freedom Ship event was launched in at the same time with the date of the leader's exit from Greece."

She continued, "When the leader Abdullah Ocalan arrived in Naples, everyone was eager to meet him, and we were sure that he would liberate us, and we rushed to go Rome, but unfortunately we did not see our leader."

Demir added: "23 years and violence against the leader Ocalan is increasing, and millions of people demand his freedom, not only the Kurdish people. Because leader's pragmatism has spread all over the world, everyone tries to create a new life according to this Paradigm, and if the voices in Naples rise, the will and struggle of our people will destroy the state system".
