​​​​​​​Al-Qaftan: AA is a successful alternative to centralized systems

The Syrian government continues to hold presidential elections in areas under its control in an attempt to preserve its central authoritarian system, which observers described as a farce, at a time when more than half of the Syrian territories have gone out of its control.

On the other hand, the areas of north and east Syria are witnessing a remarkable development in various fields, the most important of which is the co-existence of the various components and their solidarity to achieve the success of the Autonomous Administration, in which all components of the region participate in managing and defending the region.

Regarding the Autonomous Administration project, the Head of the Future Syria Party, Ibrahim Al-Qaftan, said in a statement to Hawar news agency, "The Autonomous Administration has succeeded in being an alternative system to central systems because it fulfills the peoples' will and equality among all components."

Ibrahim Al-Qaftan added, "We do not deny that there are errors in the Autonomous Administration, but it was able to prove itself as an alternative system to the central systems, the best evidence is the Administration's meeting the people's demands and its reversal of Resolution 119, which witnessed popular discontent. "

Al-Qaftan noted, "We, in the Future Syria Party, affirm the democracy and pluralism of the upcoming system of Syria and that it will be decentralized."

Al-Qaftan continued his speech, "All the administrations that run north and east Syria seek to be the gateway through which all the people of Syria enter to reach a national state away from nationalism, sectarianism and the mainframe system."

Al-Qaftan touched on the people's role in achieving the success of the Autonomous Administration and preserving the gains, and said: "Without people, there is no legitimacy for any constitution or future rule in Syria. If a constitution is proposed, it will be put to the people for a referendum, and the legitimacy of any system is derived from the people with all its components and sects."

Al-Qaftan said, "The Syrian regime is proceeding in its current elections on the constitution that it enacted in 2012, when the country was witnessing a movement, and the constitution removed large segments of the Syrian people."

Ibrahim Al-Qaftan called on the Syrian people to be aware of what a citizen must do to serve their society. He said: "The people are the ones who choose the ruler in democratic countries, and they are the nucleus of building the next state."

Al-Qaftan noted that "in the party's second conference, we raised the slogan of strengthening the Autonomous Administration's role, and directing it to the right path by identifying errors and correcting them."

Al-Qaftan explained: "One of the most prominent results of the central and national system is the weakness of the national affiliation of the Syrian people, their abandonment of their land, heading to search for themselves in European countries."

The Head of the Future Syria Party concluded his speech by saying: "The Syrian people should know that we went out not to change people but to change mentalities. When the mentality changes, not the ruling authority, then there is no harm in the presence of anyone in power."
