Within the framework of the demographic change policy and erasing the nature and culture of occupied Afrin, the Turkish occupation and its mercenaries are inventing several methods in their crimes and violations.

Today, the mercenaries of the so-called "Samarkand Brigade" of the Turkish occupation, set fire to forest trees in the Shia district in the occupied Afrin countryside, extending for a length of 7 kilometers and reaching Mobata district.

The Turkish occupation mercenaries, who are concentrated in Sherawa district of the occupied Afrin canton, set fire to trees in the villages of Basleh and Jelbereh to extend and reach the perimeter of Beneh village in Sherawa district.

The source confirmed that about 2,000 forest trees on an area of ​​20 hectares were burned during the spread of fires in the forests.

It is worth mentioning that this is not the first time that the mercenaries of the occupation have burned the forests in the region, as in the past year, they burned dozens of hectares of agricultural lands and forest and perennial olive trees with the aim of turning them into firewood and charcoal for sale in the markets.
