From Afrin to Şengal flame of resistance is lighted

Afrin

Afrin people displaced in the camps and villages of al-Shahba canton lit Newroz bonfires fires, confirming their adherence to the option of resistance until the liberation of Afrin and the expulsion of the occupation and its mercenaries.

Hundreds of people from Afrin region flocked to the squares and public places in the suburbs, villages and camps of al-Shahba canton, carrying Newroz torches and chanting slogans that revive the era, expressing their adherence to their land and insistence on liberating it from mercenaries and the occupation.

People from Kurds, Arabs and Turkmen gathered in public squares, lit Newroz bonfires, and held dabkeh on the beat of folkloric and patriotic songs.

Aleppo

Thousands of Aleppo residents gathered around the bonfires that were lit in each of the Martyrs Square in the western part of the Sheikh Maqsoud neighborhood and in the eastern section, and in front of the Al-Istiqamah Park in the Ashrafieh neighborhood.

The setting of fire and the start of the Newroz celebrations in the city of Aleppo punctuated the holding of Dabkeh to the tune of revolutionary songs.

Şengal

In Şengal, hundreds of residents lit the Nowruz torch at the summit of Mount Shengal and held Dabkeh rings around the fires.

The celebration took place in the Sardashti area of Mount Şengal, where dozens of people gathered around the bonfire.
