The Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's office issued a statement saying that the Israeli National Security Adviser, Meir Ben Shabat, discussed by phone with his American counterpart, Jake Sullivan, many common issues, including Iran, regional issues, and the Ibrahim Accords.

In a related context, it is expected that the head of the Israeli Mossad, Yossi Cohen, will meet next month in Washington with the head of the CIA, William Burns, and US President Joe Biden, to convey the details of the Israeli position on the expected American return to the nuclear agreement with Iran, and the list of amendments proposed by Tel Aviv to amend it. .

It is noteworthy that Biden administration officials had started holding "quiet talks" with Iran about returning to the 2015 nuclear deal, and Israel was briefed on these talks, according to "Channel 12" Israeli news.

Biden also indicated his desire to return to the nuclear deal, and said that if Iran returned to abide by the nuclear agreement, Washington would join it again, and cancel the economic sanctions on Tehran.
