British Airways stops exporting drone parts to Turkey

A British company has stopped supplying spare parts to the Turkish company, Baykar Makina, specializing in the manufacture of UAVs, exports to Turkey after discovering the use of its components in the Artsakh / Karabakh conflict, according to the Armenian survey site (hetq)

The Armenian embassy contacted the British company (Andair Ltd) about the use of its parts in the recent Karabakh conflict, according to Armenian Public Radio.

The company said, in a statement issued on January 11, that it had received a request from the Armenian Embassy in the United Kingdom to stop supplying spare parts to the Turkish company, because the latter was using them to equip military UAVs, and then the British company conducted its own investigations, and found that The allegations about that are "accurate."

The company was criticized after the Andair fuel pumps were found in the components of Bayraktar planes during the crash or that were shot down during the conflict between Azerbaijan and Armenia.

It is unclear whether (Andair) was aware of the purpose of using the fuel pumps it manufactures, and in a letter published by the company, it said that they conducted an investigation after the Armenian embassy contacted them, and discovered that their parts were used in components of Turkish UAVs.
