​​​​​​​KDP mortgages Hewlêr to Turkey

The Kurdistan Democratic Party (PDK) is openly supporting the Justice and Development Party and the Turkish National Movement, these two fascist parties are involved in many illegal actions in Turkey or abroad, through the support of mercenaries and their interference in regional countries, and most recently in Karabakh-Artsakh.

The current Turkish government, led by the Justice and Development and the National Movement, is having a major dilemma; economic crisis, high unemployment and many unresolved internal matters in Turkey, in addition to random arrests in Bakur Kurdistan, as thousands of HDP members were arrested, as well as taking over the municipalities that the HDP won in the elections of March.

But it seems that the Kurdistan Democratic Party has become subject to the order of the Turkish authorities to implement its agendas in the region, which mainly aims to undermine the Kurdistan Freedom Movement, and Turkey is pushing the Kurdistan Democratic Party to harass the Freedom Movement in all forms.

It seems that KDP forgot the virtue of the PKK during the ISIS mercenaries' attacks on large areas of Başûr Kurdistan, when the Guerrilla forces responded to the call of Masoud Barzani and fought alongside the Peshmerga in Kirkuk, Xanqin, Jalawla and Şengal at the time when Turkey rejected Barzani's call to confront the threat of ISIS, waiting from behind the border for the night of Hewlêr's fall.

Since Masrour Barzani came to power in southern Kurdistan (Başûr) in 2019, Başûr Kurdistan has not ended disputes with the central government, especially the oil file, and according to both parties, understandings to deliver KRG oil to the "SOMO" at 250 thousand barrels per day of out of 450 thousand in exchange for placing Başûr share in the country's budget, apart from that, differences still exist, especially with regard to economic matters, including imports of border crossings controlled by the Hewler government to Baghdad, so that it in turn sends salaries of Başûr employees.

Accordingly, Baghdad should send 453 billion dinars annually, equivalent to 380 million Iraqi dinars per month, but despite the discussions took place in the current year, the two parties did not announce an understanding regarding the financial budget.

This led to popular discontent in Başûr Kurdistan, as the KRG did not fully pay the salaries for this year, as it has paid four months' salaries so far as well as deducting 21% of each employee's salary under the pretext of paying the government's debts.

The economic crisis in Başûr exists due to several reasons; many oil wells are at the hands of government officials, personalities, and party leaders, as well as the KDP's agreement with Turkey for a period of fifty years without reviewing the central government or even the government of Başûr, meaning that this agreement was made  between the Kurdistan Democratic Party and Turkey only, not to mention the leasing of many oil wells to Turkey, controlling their export to Turkey without restrictions. This unilateralism from the Kurdistan Democratic Party takes the economy and politics of Başûr towards the abyss. 

In addition to these crises, differences among the parties in the government still exist in full swing, as each party demands its share of the government, but the government itself is unable to meet the needs of its people, and in order to block the way to the demands of the parties and the people, the Prime Minister Masrour Barzani declared during his speech at the parliament session on the fifth of October that "the debts of the Kurdistan Regional Government amount to 28 billion and 475 thousand dollars," but we must ask who is responsible for these debts?, and how can a year-old government declare its bankruptcy before parliament and people? 

In fact, corruption has brought the government to this level, in addition to its handing over of all economic and political facilities to Turkey.

In light of this rampant corruption within the Hewlêr government and the dire economic situation, many demonstrations took place, but the Democratic Party arrested many activists, journalists, politicians and even school teachers in the areas under its control in Hewlêr, Duhok and Zakho with the aim of silencing the freedom demanders, and continuing to rule in Başûr Kurdistan, as dozens of them are still detained by the Kurdistan Democratic Party. Furthermore, these arbitrary arrests opened the way for the immigration movement, as thousands of young people arrived this year in European countries for fear of prosecution by the security services of the Kurdistan Democratic Party. According to statistics of Al-Qemma Organization concerned with refugee affairs, 32,000 people, including 20,000 young men / women from Başûr immigrated this year. The organization warned that the number would increase if the authorities did not provide job opportunities for the young group.

In addition to all these crises as well, the continued Turkish shelling has led to the evacuation of hundreds of border villages, in addition to Turkey's committing many massacres, the last of which was in the village of "Kani Masi" which is only 20 km away from the city center of Sulaymaniyah. In addition to the lack of basic services in those villages. Let us ask who caused this migration and refused to provide services and empty those villages?

The disagreements of the KDP were not limited to Baghdad alone, rather, the main disagreements were with the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK) and many parties in the government, as these differences reached the point that the PUK revealed its intention to declare a decentralized system in the areas under its control.

This unilateral declaration of the PUK accelerated the interference of external forces to stop the Patriotic Union and prevent it from taking any step in this direction. The two parties met in the city of "Dokan", and it seems that the Kurdistan Democratic Party has conceded some matters in favor of the Patriotic Union, which made the latter keeping the matter secret.

In addition to what has been mentioned above, the Patriotic Union accuses the Kurdistan Democratic Party of concluding agreements with Turkey threatening the sovereignty of Başûr. Hawkar Al-Jaff, the Member of the National Union stated recently to media outlets that the Kurdistan Democratic has concluded an agreement with Turkey allowing it to enter deep into the territory of Başûr Kurdistan and establish military bases. The number of Turkish bases within the territory of Başûr reached 30 military bases, in addition to the presence of thousands of soldiers and dozens of intelligence centers (MIT) in cities and villages of Başûr Kurdistan.

The current government is experiencing real crises that it has not been able to overcome, so that the differences exist within the Kurdistan Democratic Party itself, and both Nechirvan Barzani and Masrour Barzani have become two wings competing for many matters, especially from the economic point of view, as they hold each other responsible for the government's bankruptcy.

These agreements between the Kurdistan Democratic Party and Turkey forced it to surrender Başûr Kurdistan to Turkey, and the Kurdistan Democratic became a puppet at its hand. In 2016, Wikileaks documents revealed that the Minister of Natural Resources in Başûr Kurdistan, Aştî  Hewrami, sent an email to Turkish Minister of Energy and Natural Resources Berat Albayrak, in which he presented selling a number of oil fields in Başûr for five billion dollars.

The military movements that began last April in Zini Wartê region and recently in Garê, Metina and even Zab regions came under purely Turkish orders, and the forces accompanying these vehicles heading to the areas near Guerrilla are forces affiliated with the Kurdistan democratic and have nothing to do with the Peshmerga, as the PUK denies any connection to these movements. Mahmoud Singawi confirmed that the Peshmerga deployed in Garê has no relationship with the Ministry of Peshmerga, and it is the best proof of that, and most likely that those forces accompanying these military convoys are some of the hired groups such as the so-called Peshmerga Roj, or even other Syrian mercenary groups that Turkey brought to these areas dressed as Peshmerga.

The Kurdistan Democratic Party, in cooperation with the Turkish state, is trying by various means to get out of the current crisis in which it is experiencing, and it is also trying to ignite a front with the PKK and take advantage of it in order to control and extend its rule. These current actions of the Kurdistan Democratic remind us of the Turkish state's policies in suppressing freedom-seekers and creating external crises to get out of its internal crises, and to direct the people's view towards the external problems, not the internal, from which it itself suffers.

In the event that Turkey and the Kurdistan Democratic Party's (KDP) conspiracy to ignite a war of brothers fails, I think that Başûr Kurdistan will witness similar events to what happened in July 2016 in Turkey (the alleged coup d'état). If we retrieve our memory, we will conclude that, and the Democratic Party authorities have already begun to move towards this step, where it arrested a number of persons, and announced about them through a statement in the name of the "Security Council", in which it was announced that it thwarted what it described as "sabotage operations planned by the PKK."

But the Patriotic Union denied what was stated in this statement, and it seems that the Kurdistan Democratic Party is preparing a new conspiracy in Başûr, and it may hire some people to cause riots in its regions and announce a coup d'état against the government. Without a doubt, it will accuse Kurdish parties in Başûr of doing so to get out of its crisis, as it accused the Justice and Development in Turkey in 2016, Fethullah Gulen, to get out of its crisis, and to show itself the only and savior party that sees Başûr future, and thus weakening the Kurdish movements and inaction in order to achieve unity.
