Female journalists: KRG's statements target Kurdish unity

This response came after sending by Kurdistan Democratic Party of military reinforcements to "Garê" region which consists of the "Golan" force and includes militants from the Peshmerga Roj.

Barzani's statements angered the Kurdish street and media circles, which considered that what Barzani declared was only in the interest of Turkey.

'Escalation targets the Kurdish cause'

Journalist and presenter of Radio Derbasiya FM, Sherin Hassan, stated to ANHA that the statements issued by the Başûr Kurdistan government were written by the Turkish occupation state, and that the Kurdish people know this.

Sherin pointed out that the war that may take place in the event of continued verbal, political and military escalation will target the Kurdish people and cause in the first place.

She added that despite the statements of Barzani were in threatening tone, the response came by the Kurdistan Community Union (KNK) in a way that preserves the rights of the Kurdish people and calls for dialogue again to prevent the Kurdish infighting, and said, “The KNK tries to conduct political dialogues to avoid bloodshed."

'Fighting serves Turkey'

She indicated that the aim of the recent statements of the government of Başûr Kurdistan is to target the Kurds and the Kurdish cause, and continued, “The Turkish occupation state, with the help of Başûr Kurdistan's government, is trying to eliminate the People's Defense Forces ( HPG) in the legitimate defense zones that represent all the Kurdish people. In addition, the Kurdish infighting serves no one but Turkey."

She pointed out that the Kurdish people in Rojava have taken their first step towards the unity of the Kurdish ranks, "and these statements try to strike Kurdish unity, and everyone should ask why the Kurdish cause is being targeted?"

'The biggest mistake is of Başûr'

She indicated that Turkey is trying by various means to expand its interests with the help of Başûr Kurdistan, and the biggest mistake is always made by the Başûr government, as if it does not yet know that Turkey is exploiting it in order to implement its plans.

Journalist Sherin Hassan demanded the Kurds in Başûr Kurdistan to be aware of Turkey’s plans to prevent Kurdish infighting, as the Kurds have been subjected to many massacres throughout history.

'Barzani's statements only serve Turkey'

For her part, the journalist on Radio Sawt Al-Hayat, Sozda Ahmed, said, "What is required of Masoud Barzani, in particular, is to advocate the Kurdish people's revolution, the Kurdistan Workers' Party, and to remove the Turkish occupation state from the lands of Kurdistan."

In turn, the journalist of Radio Khabur FM in the city of Al-Hasakah, Mizgin Hassan, said: “These statements lead to Kurdish infighting and only serve the interest of the Turkish occupation state. The Kurds fight among themselves."

"The only demand of all Kurds is the unity of the Kurdish ranks to face the enemies," Hassan said.
