Amnesty International spokesman Denis Krivoshev said that Israeli-made bombs were dropped on the major city of Stepanakert, expressing his surprise at the use of such weapons, which are non-discriminatory in nature.

BBC Arabic quoted the British newspaper "Daily Telegraph" as saying that "cluster bombs were used during the weekend in the violent bombardment on Stepanakert, capital of Nagorno Karabakh."

Since the 27th of last September, the Nagorno Karabakh region has been witnessing a raging conflict between Armenia and Azerbaijan, while Turkey is sending Syrian mercenaries to fight alongside Azerbaijan.
