Haftar meets with Egyptian Military Intelligence director at the army headquarters

According to the Libyan Army Media Office, during the meeting Haftar received an important message from Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi through the Director of the Military Intelligence Department.

An Egyptian official source announced, on Tuesday, that the reported Qatari-Turkish agreement to convert the Libyan port of Misurata into a port for Ankara is a transgression and a threat to the entire region.

He told the official Middle East News Agency that he was surprised by the reports of turning the Libyan city of Misurata into a Turkish military base following the visit of the Turkish and Qatari defense ministers to Tripoli, and what was circulated in the media about projects to convert the city of Misurata, which has an important role in Libya, into a Turkish military base, pointing out that any decision in this regard is a violation of the logic on which the "Skhirat" agreement was based, the mandate emanating from it, and the relevant Security Council resolutions.

This comes as sources reported that Turkey, Qatar and the Government of National Accord agreed to grant Libyan passports to the mercenaries who were brought by Turkey and Qatar to support the Government of National Accord in Tripoli.
