Netanyahu threatens with elections ... differences between Israeli government, US administration over the annexation scheme

In the same context, the newspaper "Maariv" reported that there is "uncertainty and disagreements within the government" over the annexation scheme, as well as within the administration of US President Donald Trump, who presented the " Century Deal " as a plan to settle the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, and included annexing areas in the West Bank to Israel.

Because of differences in the Israeli government and the American administration, the implementation of the annexation plan will not begin by July 1, as Netanyahu pledges, but will be delayed, the newspaper said.

And added: "The differences within the government have not changed, and while Netanyahu seeks to implement the plan to annex the settlements and the Jordan Valley, Gantz so far refuses to implement the annexation clause only in the deal of the century."

Also, Foreign Minister Gabi Ashkenazi demands that the annexation plan not be the first item to be implemented within the framework of the American plan, and demands that the Israeli government announce its support for the entire Trump plan, and this includes the establishment of a Palestinian state, which Netanyahu absolutely rejects.

The newspaper noted that there is a dispute within the US administration between Trump's adviser and son-in-law, Jared Kushner, and between the American ambassador to Israel, David Friedman, who fully adopts Netanyahu's position to implement unilateral annexation, and Kushner believes that the US administration should support the implementation of the " Century Deal".
