Leaked documents: Transfer of huge sums from the Libyan Central Bank to Turkish company SSTEK

And it appeared in leaked documents, according to a report by the Libyan newspaper "" libyareview ", that millions of euros had been transferred from the Libyan Central Bank to a Turkish company called SSTEK.

As the newspaper report points to this company called "SSTEK Defense Industry Technologies Inc" was founded in 2016 as a 100% subsidiary of the Turkish defense industry.

The documents showed that the Minister of Interior of the Accord Government, Fathi Ali Pashaga, asked the governor of the Central Bank of Libya, "Al-Siddiq al-Kabeer", to transfer approximately 169 million euros to the SSTEK account.

The Ministry of Interior also addressed the governor of the Central Bank of Libya, asking him to cancel an earlier letter stating the issuance of a letter of credit. Instead, the governor was asked to transfer 169 million euros directly to the SSTEK account.

The documents also show that the head of the Finance Department at the Ministry of Interior, Colonel Mohamed Farada, addressed the head of banking operations at the Central Bank of Libya, and asked him to complete the transfer of the amount to the SSTEK account.

The head of the Libyan Audit Office, Khaled Shakshak, addressed the Minister of the Interior, stressing that due to the emergency in the country, exceptions would be granted, and imports from SSTEK would be exempt from normal procedures.

It is worth noting that the Turkish Defense Industry Executive Committee chaired by Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, is called BMC, and holds 55% of the shares of SSTEK.

BMC was established in 1964, has manufactured more than 300,000 vehicles so far, and manufactured multi-purpose "Kirpi" armored vehicles that have been seen up to dozens in the Libyan capital, Tripoli, months ago.
