Libyan Army: Several Turkish mercenaries and leaders killed

The Head of the Moral Guidance Department of the Libyan National Army, Brigadier Khaled Al Mahjoub announced on Saturday killing a number of Turkish mercenaries and terrorist leaders in the Tripoli operations.

Brigadier Al-Mahjoub confirmed that the Libyan armed forces have killed 26 terrorist and militia leaders, while 140 Syrian mercenaries have been killed in the past two days.

The Libyan military official stated that the army arrested 22 mercenaries and militias, as well as eight armored vehicles and two Turkish armored vehicles in the Tripoli battles during the past twenty-four hours.

He added that the Libyan armed forces are preparing several direct and indirect ambushes at the present time in order to eliminate the militia and the terrorism.

The military official indicated that Turkey sent more than 10,000 mercenaries to Libya in order to support the militias loyal to Fayez al-Sarraj government in Tripoli.

Brigadier Al-Mahjoub stated that the Libyan armed forces fighting a war against terrorism followed a new pattern of mobilization.

Earlier, the Libyan National Army announced killing the terrorist Murad Abu Hamoud al-Azizi, the commander of the mercenaries "Sultan Murad", after clashes south of the capital, Tripoli.
