Israeli media reported that the 23 Knesset elections are witnessing the competition of 29 Israeli electoral lists, including the two largest parties in Israel, "Likud" led by Benjamin Netanyahu, and "Lavan Alcohol" led by Benny Gantz.

The parties compete for 120 Knesset seats, in the third elections to be held in a year, after the failure of the Israeli parties to exceed the percentage of the discount during the past times.

The media indicates that: "9 of them are expected to pass the threshold, while the rest of the parties are not expected to succeed."

Israeli authorities are wary of the impact of the fear of the spread of the Corona virus on the percentage of voting, after declaring that more than 5 thousand Israelis are in quarantine, and will vote in private tents on the outskirts of cities without mixing them with the rest of the voters.

Regarding the fortunes of the Israeli parties, observers estimate that the new elections will not differ from their predecessors, according to the latest polls, at least, as each camp is unable to form a viable government unilaterally without the need for other blocs.

The right-wing parties combined (with the exception of Avigdor Lieberman) won 58 seats, while the left and center parties and the Arab parties combined got 54 seats, which means the parties' inability to form a government, and the need for "Israel Our Home" party led by Avigdor Lieberman.

Other media outlets suggest that the Likud party will win over "White - Blue / Lavan Alcohol" led by Benny Gantz, according to opinion polls.

The Israeli media point out that: "The elections come in light of the filing of an indictment against Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, in which he was accused of corruption and breach of trust, and his trial will begin in the coming weeks."

In the context, ANHA's correspondent in Gaza stated that the Israeli army imposed a total closure on the West Bank and Gaza Strip, from today until midnight Monday - Tuesday, against the background of the elections....
