Russia is concerned about escalation in Idlib, no meeting between Putin, Erdogan

The Kremlin said on Monday that Russia is concerned about the escalation of tension in Idlib, and stressed that there is no plan for holding a meeting between the Russian President Vladimir Putin and Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan.

The Russian presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov told reporters in response to a question: "We are still concerned."

He added: "As for the meeting of the two presidents, there are still no specific plans for holding a meeting, but it will be held if it needs."

Peskov's comments came after the Turkish Defense Ministry announced earlier on Monday that 5 Turkish soldiers had been killed in an attack by the regime forces on Teftenaz airport which includes Turkish forces.
