Despite the international rejection …Erdogan announces that he will send his army to Libya

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said today that his country has received a request from the Libyan government for accord to send troops to Libya, and we will do so.

"We support the accord government against the Libyan army by all means," Erdogan added.

He said: "On January 8, it will be approved to send troops to Libya."

On his meeting with the Tunisian President, yesterday, Erdogan said: "We discussed the Libyan issue in all its dimensions," adding, "We reached an agreement to provide the necessary support to Libya for its stability."

The Turkish move comes after the meetings with Russia, which were held two days ago, after which the Russian Foreign Ministry announced that an agreement had been reached on the situation in Libya, after a war of words between the two parties.

Sources and media outlets have spoken that Turkey is moving mercenaries from Syria to fight in Libya.

The agreement that Turkey signed with accord government headed by Fayez al-Sarraj has provoked international and regional anger, and the Libyan parliament considered that Sarraj's actions as a great betrayal.
