Physical games gym opened in al-Raqqa

Youth and Sports Committee of al-Raqqa Civil Council opened a gym for the physical and individual games and athletics after 10 years of closing, where the committee allocated 4 hours in a day to train the women who want to register.

The opining was attended by tens of the members of the civil institutions and the co-chair of al-Raqqa Civil Council, Meshleb al-Derwish and members of the Youth and Sport Committee.

The opining ribbon was cut by Meshleb al-Derwish who toured in the gym to learn about the games.

The bodybuilding coach Mohammed Hussein Al Saleh, thanked the Youth and Sports Committee, for the opening of the gym and said "The gym will restore the sporting spirit of the people of the city."

"The gym was almost destroyed and burnt as a result of mercenary actions, so we have rehabilitated the gym and secured the required equipment for athletics and put it in the gym," the co-chair of the Youth and Sports Committee at the Civil Council Fatima al-Khelif said.

Fatima Al-Khalif explained that women who wish to register will have 4 hours daily from  08:00 am to 12:00 pm, as desired by women within the specified time and from 12:00 pm is allocated to the men.

  The number of registered students is approximately 90 student, and the registration for women will start today.

It is worth mentioning that al-Beldi Playground or what was called by the people of al-Raqqa the Black Playground " was the largest prison used by mercenaries for the torture of civilians, and mercenaries were called during the control of the city of Raqqa.
