Syrian army confronts the Turkish army, girl died of thirst at ISIS' hands

The entry of the Syrian army into Manbij to face the threat of the Turkish invasion has taken a large part in the international press. The international press also referred to the latest crimes in killing the children

ISIS German soldier "leave a girl dying of thirst" in Iraq

The Guardian newspaper reported "A former German member of ISIS faces charges of war crimes because she "left a child no more than five years old to die of thirst in the scorching sun of Iraq".

According to the newspaper, the German authorities are directing these charges to Jennifer W. and her husband, who have buy the girl as captivity" Sabia" in the city of al-Mosul at the time of IS control by 2015.

The newspaper notes that the husband was tied the girl with iron shackles outside the house after she got sick, and Jennifer did nothing to save her, according to the prosecution's indictment.

The German also faces other charges of possession of weapons and other violations. Jennifer is expected to face the maximum prison sentence.

Syrian army in Manbij to thwart the Turkish attack

In the Syrian case, Washington Post reported that the Syrian army said it entered a major city in North Syria at the request of the Kurdish fighters and raised the government flag in an attempt to thwart Turkish plans to launch a military attack.

The People's Protection Units (YPG) called on the Syrian government to "impose its control" in Manbij city and protect it "against the Turkish invasion".

On Friday, the Syrian army announced the entry of its forces into Manbij area and raised the Syrian flag there, shortly after the General Command of the People Protection Units called on Damascus to send troops to the area to protect it against Turkish threats. The army said in a statement on Friday it did so "in response to the population's calls" and "to restore sovereignty over every inch of the Syrian territory."

The official account of the International Coalition forces involved in the process of "Hard Determination"(al-Azem al-Salep) on Twitter: "Although of the incorrect information about changes in the military forces in Manbij city in Syria, the Coalition forces involved in "Hard Determination" process did not see any indication of the validity of these allegations."

Coalition forces called on "everyone" to respect the dignity and safety of their citizens.

In contrast, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan doubted the Syrian army's own account of his entry into the northern city of Manbij, saying that "the Assad forces are conducting a psychological war."

The US-led coalition said in an e-mail message on Saturday that it could not discuss the positions of US troops "for practical security reasons."

The text of the message said "We cannot discuss where our troops are located in Syria or specific timetables for their transfer,"

Elham Ahmed said US forces had not yet withdrawn from Manbij, the Associated Press reported. She added that an agreement was reached between the Russians and the Syrian government in which the latter would take the authority immediately after the withdrawal
