British Independent newspaper: IS are smuggling explosives to Lebanon

The British Independent newspaper revealed that the Lebanese authorities have thwarted a plan for IS to carry out bomb attacks during the country's parliamentary elections earlier this year, the Lebanese Interior Minister said on Monday.

The newspaper said: "IS have smuggled explosives from Syria as cheese buckets to use them in attacks against places of worship and military targets and the gatherings of civilians, but the 10-month police operation, called" deadly cheese" has revealed the plot.

US Daily Star: Syrian Democratic Forces Enter Hajin

The international press, including the US Daily Star newspaper, reported the entry of the Syrian Democratic Forces into the Syrian Hajin city, which lies east of the eastern town of Deir ez-Zor last week. Fighting is still ongoing in the area and its axes since then.

The newspaper has quoted from the spokesman for the Syrian Democratic Forces, Mustafa Bali that the fighters supported by US took full control of the city hospital on early Monday morning

"The Syrian Democratic Forces fighters launched an attack to retrieve Hajin city and the neighboring villages on September 10, where they intensified their attacks last week under the cover of the air raids carried out by the international alliance against IS."
