Presentation of Oclan's works at "Arab International Book Fair" in Beirut

Copies of the works of Kurdish People's Leader Abdullah Ocalan were presented at the Beirut International Arab Book Fair at its 62nd edition, with participation of 245 publishing houses from around the world.

BEIRUT

The Beirut International Arab Book Fair, with the participation of 245 Arab and foreign publishing houses, was launched on Thursday at its 62nd edition and will continue until December 17.

The exhibition will be held at the Sea Side Arena center in Beirut. The most prominent Lebanese and Arab writers will participate in the signing of their books and participate in special seminars on literary, political and social issues.

The participating countries include Egypt, Kuwait, Sultanate of Oman, Sudan, Iran, Palestine, Saudi Arabia, Iraq and Ukraine.

The exhibition, organized by the Arab Cultural Club, included copies of the writings of Kurdish leader Abdullah Ocalan and his views on political, social and economic issues he wrote in Imrali prison.

The exhibition was presented at the initiative of the Newroz Cultural Association in Lebanon, while the authors of Ocalan's works are trying to present their books on democracy, peoples fraternity and participatory life to introduce visitors to their ideas and endeavors to achieve peace and freedom and to break the slavery restrictions imposed on oppressed peoples.

The Beirut International Arab Book Fair is one of the oldest Arab book fairs that continue to date. It is being held in cooperation with the Lebanese Publishers Association. The exhibition commemorates the birth of the writer Najib Mahfouz and the tenth anniversary of the departure of Palestinian poet Mahmoud Darwish.
