Darwish: Weakness of coordination between Kurdish parties caused obstruction of national unity

In light of developments in the areas of the four parts of Kurdistan on the one hand, and demanding the Kurdish people to achieve a national unity on the other, that led to the need to unite the Kurdish class regardless of the direction of the Kurdish political parties, and became an urgent need. Hawar news agency (ANHA) held an interview with the head of the Democratic Progressive Party of Kurdistan Abdul Hamid Darwish to discuss with him about the reasons and obstacles that face the convening of a national conference.

During the meeting, Abdul-Hamid Darwish spoke at the beginning of his speech about the reasons that prevent the convening of the Kurdistan Patriotic Conference. He said, "What is difficult and prevents the convening of a unified conference for all the Kurdish people in the four parts of Kurdistan is the interruption of relations between the Kurdish political parties in each part of the other, not to abandon each party for partisan interests and not to accept each party to see and guide other parties in various parts of Kurdistan."

And the Kurdish parties and political blocs in Kurdistan are responsible for creating the appropriate ground for the convening of a national conference of Kurdistan, gathering the representatives of the Kurdish people. Darwish explained saying, "All parties and political parties must abandon their narrow partisan interests, restructure relations, communicate with each other within Kurdistan in addition to the emergence of a national unity in each part of Kurdistan, deepening the political relations with the rest of the political blocks and parties in other parts and rebuilding confidence in order to reach a national conference of Kurdistan to achieve the hopes of the Kurdish people in general."

About the Kurdish Democratic Progressive Party in Syria to convene the Kurdistan National Conference to unite the Kurdish class, Darwish pointed out the importance of this conference for the Kurdish people, and said, "If we reach a conference that brings together all parties and political blocs in Kurdistan, that will achieve significant steps that commensurate with the requirements of the Kurdish people and will achieve access to a dialogue and a unified speech serving the Kurdish people in various parts of Kurdistan." He added, "The Kurdish Democratic Progressive Party in Syria supports holding this conference because the inability of any party to dialogue with its Kurdish brothers in other parties would obstruct the realization of the hopes of the Kurdish people."

Darwish expressed his party's readiness to assume its responsibilities to work on holding the Kurdistan National Conference to unite the Kurdish people. He called on all parties to abandon the one-party vision, accept the criticisms and criticize the wrong policies of the other parties so that everyone can unite the political vision of the Kurdish people.
