Al-Shahba municipalities ... Continued services, projects under implementation

The people's municipalities in Afrin region are working afoot in order to serve the people despite the difficult circumstances and the limited resources available in terms of the machineries and materials necessary for work.

Al-Shahba canton has witnessed a long period of wars and battles that took place during IS mercenaries' ruling and destroyed the infrastructure of the canton.

The people of Afrin headed towards al-Shahba as a result of the bombing of the Turkish occupation army and its mercenaries on the canton and the massacres committed against civilians.

Therefore, the people's municipalities, since 8 months, have been working with all effort amid the great loss of the necessary machineries for the work, while the efforts of the municipalities continue from all aspects of service.

The roads were paved with a distance of about 8 km, all the excavations were filled and the roads of al-Shahba canton and the entire Sherawa district were paved.

In addition, the municipalities of Afrin region have opened a new camp called "al-Awda" (the Return) in Sherawa district. The camp can accommodate 150 to 200 tents.

The municipalities of the people in Afrin region are repairing the sewerage and installing some others. Furthermore, they have started their project starting from Ahdath district and the project will continue to include all the districts and villages in al-Shahba and Sherawa.

In this context, the member of the People's Municipalities Council in Afrin region Gharib Baker said,"Despite the difficulties that we face, we try by all means to provide services to the people."
