Films recount Resistance of Age screened at International Festival

The Kobanî International Film Festival continues at the Center of Culture and Art in Kobanî on its sixth day, screening several short films and cartoons selected by the jury from 400 films filmed in a number of countries around the world.

The festival began on the 13th of this month, which marks the 58th anniversary of the massacre of Amouda, in which 250 children lost their lives in Amouda city.

Today's films included a number of short films entitled "RETOUCH, BIRTH OF A WOLF, PACE, GOLDFISH", while many cartoons episodes were screened, and documentaries were shown.

A number of short films about the resistance demonstrated by the fighters and the people in Afrin canton against the Turkish occupation were presented today.

"The Creators of Hope" is a film directed by Mohi al-Din Arslan, which deals with the story of a theater team forced to leave Afrin as a result of the Turkish aggression, but tries through its performances to draw the smile on the faces of the children.

Rojava Film Commune is scheduled to finish the film tomorrow, after 7 days in a row.

The 80 films will be shown in a number of camps in northern Syria, as al-Shahba and Ain Issa camps, and Makhmour camp in Başûr (southern Kurdistan).
