Havrin Khalaf: We to solve crisis with project respects Syrian people’s privacy, pluralism

ANHA agency met with the General Secretary of the Future Syria Party Havrin Khalaf to talk about the achievements of their party since its establishment and their projects and proposals to end the Syrian crisis

Havrin Khalaf spoke about the establishment of their party, "The establishment of the Future Syria Party was not just a number added to the numbers of the political parties in Syria. The Syrian communities lacked a serious political life. The Syrian society did not have any role in the management of the political process in Syria due to the lack of the political pluralism because of the domination of the one-party power in Syria which is the Baath Party which prevented the establishment of any party or rival party that aims at raising the awareness of the people and stimulating them to play their leading role in managing themselves at all levels. In the result of the lack of the political pluralism and the contribution to developing the state, things complicated and the crisis reached the explosion of the revolution which was turned into a crisis that has been going on for 8 years. We aim to form this party to create an atmosphere of consensus and understanding among all the Syrian people.

She added, “It was necessary to have a comprehensive political party for all Syrians, taking into account the privacy of the Syrian people with their various national and religious components. The future Syria party approaches the same distance from all components and all religions so the party touches the aspirations of the Syrian people to end the crisis and reach a formula to resolve the conflict and make Syria a pluralistic and democratic country.”

As for the achievements of the party in its first phase, Havrin said, "As a first stage, about seven months after founding the party, the party organized itself in many Syrian areas. We have opened several sub-offices, starting from Qamishlo and al-Hasakah cantons in al-Jazeera in addition to al-Raqqa, al-Tabqa, Deir ez-Zor, Manbij and Aleppo. The Future Syria Future Party contacted with other Syrian areas such as al-Suweida which enjoys an administration away from the authoritarian and centralized state. The activity of the party focuses on organizing the people to be their voice in the fulfillment of their demands and delivering it to the international forums in addition to putting forward projects that would find a solution to the Syrian crisis.

As for the meetings held by the party with the people in the different areas, Havrin stressed that the aim is to set forth the party’s thought and to define its truth and objectives to the public to see how the people accept this idea and to which extent the party’ thought touches on the aspirations and torments of the Syrian people to adopt the most appropriate solution.

On the subject of the meeting that has recently held between the party and the Syrian regime, Havrin said, "Since the establishment of the Future Syria Party and so far, we have been emphasizing on the principle of dialogue to end the Syrian crisis and rely on dialogue to end the problems at the root. Dialogue with the regime or with any party involved in the Syrian issue is necessary because the military operations will not reach a result or a real solution, and peace, freedom and democracy will not come by military force, but we must sit at the table of dialogue so that each side can present its vision."

She added, "The Future Syria Party is currently working to reach all the Syrian national democratic forces to put forward a peaceful political project to end the crisis in Syria and put forward a draft of the new state’s form that suits the aspirations of the Syrian people.”

She stressed in the conclusion that the society must lead the state, and that they will struggle for this goal and work hand in hand with all democratic, national and societal forces until reaching a new Syria that meets the goals of the Syrian people.
