Deception of the Palestinians and eye on Mosul and Kirkuk

Turkey has moved in the previous years under the leadership of Recap Tayyip Erdogan in different tracks and even contradictory, but aims to achieve one goal, is to expand its hegemony and influence in the region, especially in neighboring countries. The Arab countries and the Middle East region have suffered from the so-called intervention policy of the Turkish state over the past years, which many have described as " chameleon " which change their plans and projects when attempting to intervene in any country. In this part we will address the Turkish intervention in the Palestinian and Iraqi affairs.

The arrival of Recap Tayyip Erdogan to head the government in 2003, and later to the Turkish presidency in 2014, formed a new stage in Turkish politics, coincided with the protests in the Arab countries against their dictatorships or the so-called " Peoples Spring". At the beginning of these protests Turkey sought  to make the Muslim Brotherhood play main role which will strengthen the Turkish role in them, and impose a new "Ottoman" on the region.

Since entering into the political arena in Turkey, he tried to win the feelings of the Turks and Muslims with his contradicting slogan to his acts. He worked hardly as a politician to "fill the world and occupy people "He preaches rhetoric, manipulates the words and simmers the emotions.”

"The mosques are our barracks, the domes are our helmets, the minarets are our bayonets, and the believers are our soldiers." A graphic metaphor he said beg for the feelings of Muslims. Erdogan exploited the Palestinian cause as slogans and intimidation in the media despite the flourishing Turkish-Israeli economic relations, especially in spite of what the Turkish government is promoting. He started from the Marmara ship, which Erdogan made at the time of world news.

The case of the attack on "Mavi Marmara" ship has taken external dimensions in Turkish policy, as was evident in Erdogan's speeches about the siege imposed on the Gaza Strip, where Turkey has stepped up its media campaign against the Israeli blockade.

It was a condition for the normalization of Turkish-Israeli relations, Erdogan said more than once: "lifting the unjust blockade on the strip." Throughout the years of the Marmara ship crisis, Turkey's anti-Israel stance has been limited to media statements only.

In the period when Turkey said it had severed relations with Israel, the balance of trade between the two countries was witnessing an unprecedented rise. The Israeli Yedioth Ahronoth newspaper revealed how Erdogan was escalating his media offensive against Israel following the events of the Marmara ship.

When he was prime minister of Turkey, Erdogan visited Israel on the first day of 2005, headed by a large delegation of ministers, senior officials and businessmen, and met with Israeli President Moshe Katsav, Foreign Minister Silvan Shalom and Prime Minister Ariel Sharon.

Upon his arrival, Erdogan went to Israeli President Moshe Katsav's residence in the Israeli-controlled lands of Jerusalem and visited the "Yad Vashem" memorial to commemorate the victims of the Holocaust in World War II. When Erdogan met with Ariel Sharon in Jerusalem, Sharon welcomed him and said, "Welcome to Jerusalem, our holy city, the capital of Israel." But Erdogan smiled at Sharon and showed no reaction in confirming his approval of Sharon's speech."

Erdogan has used the Palestinian cause to cover up his interventions in Arab countries. Observers believe that Erdogan has false slogans and exploited the Jerusalem crisis to express his anger at the American president and that Erdogan sees Israel as the main corridor of funds and global markets, while Israel considers Turkey a key and strategic location to control the Middle East.

Interestingly, the construction companies that have been building Israeli settlements on the Palestinian territories since the 1990s are Turkish companies, such as the Turkish construction firm "Yilmaz-Lar", which was extended in Israel in 2002 under an agreement between the Israeli authorities and its Turkish counterpart.

By terrorism and water .. Turkish eyes on Mosul and Kirkuk

In Iraq, Mosul and Kirkuk remain in the Turkish eye. In fact, Turkey's eyes are set on Mosul and Kirkuk since the Treaty of Sevres in the wake of the First World War, which included the separation of Iraq from the Ottoman Empire in 1920, which Turkish President Kemal Ataturk refused to sign. Turks believe that Mosul is a natural extension of the Anatolian plateau and that the Kurds and Turks in it, as well as in Kirkuk are of Turkish origin!!

From 1991 to 2003, Turkish forces carried out repeated attacks even before their withdrawal. It carried out a massive attack called (Folaz). In 1995, Turkish President Suleiman Demirel demanded the re-demarcation of the border with Iraq and the annexation of Mosul and Kirkuk to Turkey.

After 2003, Turkey dealt with the Kurdistan Democratic Party and held several agreements with it, the most important of which is the oil contracts under which the oil of the region is exported through the Turkish territory for a dollar for each barrel and that the deposit amounts of proceeds in Turkish banks !! and 1023 Turkish companies operate in the region!!

Many studies indicate that Turkey has rehabilitated Sunni forces under the former governor of Nineveh, "Atheel Najifi" at the level of training and preparing, and technical and logistical support, in order to obtain sufficient support from the Sunni Muslims in Iraq and gain them and use them for intelligence or the implementation of some operations, in addition to Turkish support for Turkmens in Iraq for decades.

Turkey sponsored terrorism and dealt with terrorist organizations as negotiating countries. In coordination with these organizations, it planned to restore Mosul. The Turkish consul's story in Mosul during the entry of IS mercenaries, together with consular staff who were returned to Turkey with high transparency and with no harm, although IS practiced the policy of killing and destruction with the beginning of its entry into Mosul and this confirms the Turkish deal with terrorism.

Not only that, but Turkey has begun to sell the oil looted from Iraq for the benefit of terrorist organizations at low prices; Russian intelligence has revealed details of the sale and purchase, not to mention the great facilities granted by Turkey to terrorist organizations through traffic within its territory and the provision of training camps and other financial facilities this is at the expense of the innocent blood of the Iraqi people and the fate of Iraq!

Till this day Turkey continues to allocate (fake) amounts to the state of Mosul and Kirkuk whenever the budget is prepared in the country !! The information indicates that there are 14 Turkish military bases and 4 Turkish intelligence bases in Iraq, all located in areas controlled by the Kurdistan Democratic Party, where Turkey exploits the presence of some Turkmen in Iraq and claims protection, but basically seeks to annex Kirkuk and Mosul to its territory, this explains the choice of Mosul and Kirkuk by IS to launch attacks on them when they invaded Iraq in 2014 and took control of Mosul in June of that year, but failed to control Kirkuk.

Although the Iraqi government submitted an official protest note to the UN Security Council on December 12, 2015 about Turkey's illegal military presence in Iraq, Turkish President Recap Tayyip Erdogan said the troops had existed for some time and would not accept the withdrawal Turkish troops from Iraq.

Turkey occasionally launches attacks on the Kurdish people in Başûr (southern Kurdistan) without showing a clear position by the Iraqi government. The last chapters of the Turkish intervention in Iraqi affairs were when Turkish plane bombed vehicle was carrying a member of the Yazidi community coordinator Zaki Şengali, which led to his martyrdom and he played a major role in saving the Yazidi from Daesh attacks supported by Turkey.
