Rojava's Youth commemorated its martyrs

Rojava Youth Union commemorated Ali Çîçek, Baran Mawa martyrs and the martyrs of the Resistance of the Age during a ceremony at Rojava University in Qamishlo city.

On Monday, hundreds of the members of Rojava Youth Union and Young Women Union commemorated fighters of the Kurdistan Freedom Movement and the People and Women Protection Units (YPG and YPJ) who martyred at different times and dates.

The ceremony began with holding a minute of silence. Then, a member of the Martyrs Families Council Ali Omar delivered a speech in which he said, "At the beginning, we welcome all the attendees and extend our deepest condolences to the families of the martyrs. The martyrs are the builders of the homeland.”

The ceremony also included presenting a documentary film about the life and struggle of the martyrs Ali Çîçek, Baran Mawa and the martyrs of the Resistance of the Age.

At the conclusion of the ceremony, a statement was read by the member of Roj Youth Union Arjin Melek.

The statement praised the sacrifices made by the youths during the revolution and called on the youths to unite and escalate the struggle against the Turkish occupation.
