Youth saluted Ocalan, Afrin’s resistance against Turkish occupation

In the framework of the third stage launched by the youths of North Syria of the campaign "Revolt", dozens of members of Rojava Youth Union, the Union of Young Women, and dozens of people of Amuda district demonstrated on Monday to stand in solidarity with Afrin resistance and condemn the isolation imposed on the Kurdish leader Abdullah Ocalan by the Turkish state.

The demonstration was held in front of the center of the Martyr Delsher in Amuda towards the Free Women Square in the center of the district. The demonstrators held the pictures of the Kurdish leader Abdullah Ocalan and the flags of Rojava Youth Union and Free Young Women Union.

The demonstrators chanted the slogans that praise the resistance of YPG and YPJ against the Turkish occupation army, and they denounced its practices against the Kurdish people. They also saluted the operations of the freedom fighters of the Popular Defense Forces (HPG) and the Kurdistan Freedom Movement in the mountains of Kurdistan against the Turkish occupation army.

The demonstration took place in the main street of Amuda. Then, it stopped at the Free Women Square in the center of the district.

The demonstrators held a minute of silence. Then, a statement was read on behalf of the Rojava Youth Union and Young Women Union.

The statement said,

“To the world public,

We, as the Youth Union in Amuda that was founded on the approach and philosophy of the Kurdish leader Abdullah Ocalan, are part of the third stage of the "Revolt" campaign to break the imposed isolation and systematic policies against the leader Abdullah Ocalan.

We appeal to the Kurdish young men and women throughout Kurdistan to revolt for the leader of the Kurdish people Abdullah Ocalan, and stand against the line of betrayal with one voice and one hand. Revolt within the third stage which we launched by demonstrations and sit-ins and follow the footsteps of HPG.

After Rojava Revolution and the historic achievements we made in the 21st century, our enemies and the occupiers of our territories increased the attacks, and the greatest example is the attack on Afrin and occupying it, the attack on Qamishlo and other areas.

 We, as the Youth of leader Abdullah Ocalan and with Revolt slogan, say that as long as this battle is ongoing against us and we will continue in our operations against our enemies, will not stop our march, and will not compromise with the enemies and occupiers.

The demonstration ended with chanting the slogans that salute the leader of the Kurdish people Abdullah Ocalan and the Resistance of the Age in Afrin.
