Progressive Party in Dêrik held political symposium

The symposium was attended by clerics, Clans Council, Kurdish National Council, Democratic Union Party (PYD), Union of Intellectuals, Coalition Parties and hundreds of residents of Dêrik city.

After holding a minute of silence, the secretary of the Progressive Democratic Party in Syria Abdul Hamid Darwish talked about the latest political developments in Syria and the international and regional foreign intervention in the Syrian affairs.

Darwish touched upon the negative role of the Turkish state in the Syrian crisis, especially its support for the armed factions, the thing which led to the instability of the area, especially after the occupation of Afrin canton and thieving and looting the properties of the people.

During his speech, Darwish called for holding a Syrian national conference that would guarantee all the Syrian parties and sides to get out of the crisis which the country is going through.

He also called for unifying the Kurdish ranks in the service of the Kurdish Cause and the Kurdish people."

In the same context, the member of the Political Bureau of the Democratic Progressive Party in Syria Ahmed Suleiman told ANHA agency, "The objective of the symposium is to present the views of the party on the political situation in Syria, the Kurdish situation and the need of the political movement to carry out its duty."

He added that the atmosphere is proper for the dialogue serving the Kurdish people in Syria and we hope that the role of the Kurds will be effective to develop a solution for them and for Syria in general.

Furthermore, the symposium continued to answer the questions of the participants.
