The Community Forces(HPG) revealed some of the decisions reached in the first conference of the forces after three years of its foundation in Kobani canton.

The administration of Community Protection Forces in Kobani canton has confirmed to ANHA agency the details of the decisions they made in their first conference three years since established.

The conference, which was attended by more than 400 members, discussed with the attendees a number of organizational matters, how to strengthen protection, and the establishment of a protection council in the canton.

The decisions the administration revealed included a decision that would be implemented a few months later: to subject all members of civil institutions to military training and to learn about the concept of fundamental protection.

Opening training academies on using weapons have also been opened by the forces in the first conference, while the third resolution stipulates that the youth should work under the umbrella of the Community Protection Forces in the canton in its activities

The administration said that one of the decisions stipulated that self-defense fighters would become members of the Community Protection Forces as soon as they were discharged from the course.

A 35-member council was formed at the conference held on August 19, with 11 members, including 11 women and 11 members of Rojava youth, these members will serve within the council, whose functions will be to coordinate between members of the Community Protection Forces in the newly elected local councils 8 months ago to strengthen protection in the canton.

It is noteworthy that the Community Protection Forces in Kobani canton was officially announced after the massacre of 25 June, on July 14, 2015, whose members worked to protect the entrances of the city and participate in several campaigns of the Syrian Democratic Forces, in addition to giving lessons on the concept of protection in many villages and towns.
