Suzann Abbas ... contributes to show heritage people of her region

The citizen whose name is Suzann Siraj al-Abbas, 26 years old, in Tirbe Sipi belonging to Qamişhlo canton in al-Jazeera region has loved the Kurdish heritage since her inception. The family had a great role in developing her character.

After reading a book about the Kurdish people, her heritage and ancient history, she increased her attachment to the Kurdish heritage. She began with painting and engraving since her childhood, which prompted her to love the profession and join to the institution for the preparation of teachers in al-Hasakah city in al-Jazeera region at drawing section

She graduated from the institution in 2010 and she has been appointed a drawing teacher at Majdal Shams Elementary School. After launching the revolution of Rojava and North Syria, she joined the Kurdish Language Institution and opened her first exhibition in the region in 2015 at the martyr Hassan Institute. Kurdish and Arabic for heritage tools related to the region's heritage. It is also the first exhibition of its kind at the level of Tirbe Sipi also.

Suzann draws on stones and embossed on the clothes, and through her work she tries to show the culture and heritage of the region and the resistance shown by the people of Rojava and North Syria. She also designed a water fountain in the yard of the Martyr Hassan Institute, her drawing show the history of Kurdish women and their struggle on the walls of the schools of Tel- Shaer Tel- Jahan   and Rutan.

Suzann Siraj al-Abbas has set up several similar exhibitions at the Martyr Yekta Herkle Academy for Culture and Art in the district and is now aiming to create a museum that will gather all the figures that represent the struggle, history and heritage of the Kurdish people and peoples of the region.
