Alexandria neighborhood's people appeal to solve water problem

After liberating al-Tabqa city from the grip of Islamice State's gangs by sacrifices of Syrian Democratic Forces SDF fighters, the water begun gradually returns to its neighborhoods in al-Tabqa city where the last three months have brought about a recurrence of water cuts for long time and had reached to cut off water from some of al-Tabqa city's neighborhoods in full.

The citizen whose name is Khamis al-Anaz from the Alexandria neighborhood said "There is a severe shortage of water, the water reaches to the neighborhood provides only the low areas and the people gather around the main faucet, carrying their buckets for hours to get water. Some people buy water from tanks at a cost of up to 5000 SP to one tank."

The co-chair of al-Tabqa Water Unite Halima al-Hamoud said" The responsibility lies on People's Municipality in al-Tabqa area, which did not provide the Unit with the necessary machines to carry out its duties, and Dam Administration did not pump enough amount of water through the pump in the dam."

On the expected solutions, the co-chair of al-Tabqa Water Unit Halima al-Hamoud said that in the next few days the organizations would work to maintain and extend some water lines.
