Resho Kasan’s pictures showed resistance in olives' land

To commemorate the martyr Hussein Shawish (Herkol) who was martyred as a result of a traffic accident on the road of Dêrik city, Culture and Art Body in al-Jazeera region opened the second books and pictures exhibition at Zana Salle with the slogan, "With Reading, We Live."

Guests from different cities of al-Jazeera region participated in the exhibition, and the program included lectures and discussions on the cultural situation in North Syria.

Various books of international and local writers also were shown in the exhibition, as well as the pictures of the fighters of the People and Women's Protection Units (YPG and YPJ) in battles in northern Syria such as al-Raqqa and Afrin.

The member of the Media Office Resho Kasan from Dêrik participated in many battles in northern Syria, including Afrin. He selected the best 28 photos of (YPG and YPJ) taken by his camera and displayed in the exhibition. The section in which Kasan presented his pictures captured the interest of many visitors. 8 pictures of him were of the Resistance of the Age's fighters.

The reality of the enemy appeared through the pictures

The Turkish occupation army launched an attack on 20 January on Afrin canton, while the Resistance of the Age was launched by YPG and YPJ in Afrin.

The people of Afrin and its fighters made a legendary resistance against the second largest force in the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO), and that resistance now continues in al-Shahba canton. Resho highlighted some of the details of the Resistance of the Age during the pictures that he displayed.

On this regard, Resho said, "The pictures take their place in the history of the Kurdish people, and we show the truth through our cameras. The media is very important during the revolution. In my opinion, the resistance that was shown in Afrin was not appeared in any other area in the world. The pictures showed the enemies’ reality and the resistance of the people. The pictures also showed how the fighters live and their smile.
