Video clip highlights resistance of Sheikh Maqsoud, Ashrafiyeh

The Culture and Art Movement in the city of Aleppo released a new video clip depicting the resistance shown by residents of the Sheikh Maqsoud and Ashrafiyeh neighborhoods in the face of attacks by Syria’s transitional government forces.

The Jamil Horo Center for Culture and Art in the Sheikh Maqsoud and Ashrafiyeh neighborhoods of Aleppo issued the new clip, titled “Sheikh Maqsoud and Ashrafiyeh,” shedding light on the steadfast resistance demonstrated by local residents against attacks by factions affiliated with the transitional government in Syria, while reflecting the population’s deep connection to their land and daily life.

The clip is performed by the Agri Aleppo Band, with lyrics written and composed by artist Khalil Brishan. Recording was handled by Hikmat Milan, while direction and production were carried out by Ali Ahmad.

This work comes as part of a series of artistic activities produced by the Jamil Horo Center for Culture and Art, aimed at supporting cultural and artistic movements in the area and highlighting the spirit of belonging and resilience among the residents of Sheikh Maqsoud and Ashrafiyeh amid the difficult conditions facing the two neighborhoods.
