Women recount violations against people in Afrin

The people of Afrin who have not been able to leave Afrin during the occupation of their villages by the Turkish army continue to travel through difficult journeys to reach al-Shahba, including women and children.

ANHA was able to reach them and monitor the conditions of women during the occupation of Turkey of Afrin.

The citizen Halima Abedo from Maarate village in Afrin said that since the first moments of the Turkish occupation army and its terrorist mercenaries’ occupation of our village, we have been living a state of terrible terror.

Halima confirmed that she witnessed many cases of kidnapping and raping practiced by the Turkish occupation against the woman in Afrin. In order to obtain the gold, they killed an elderly woman. They do not have except for looting and stealing properties and crops of the civilians.

For her part, the mother Qedria said that during her life, she used to live in her village freely and to travel around the country and take care of agriculture, but after the occupation of the Turkish army to their village, she can no longer go out and stroll comfortably because of Turkey's practices and acts.

Qedria noted, "The Turkish occupation army and its mercenaries under the pretext of honor, good and bad impose modest dress on women and even children, while they themselves are dishonorable and have no conscience."
