Al-Raqqa people commemorated July 19th Revolution

In commemoration of July 19th Revolution in its sixth year, the Civil Administration in the eastern countryside of al-Raqqa city held a meeting in the Eastern People's Council in al- Jadida town to explain the basics of this revolution.

The meeting was attended by all members and directors of the communes, service institutions and local councils.

The meeting began with holding a minute of silence. Then, the member of the Civil Administration Aziz Hassen addressed the greatness of this revolution. He said, "With the start of the Syrian revolution, the people of Rojava and northern Syria launched their democratic revolution on July 19, 2012 against the Baathist regime and all gangs and their affiliated organizations to achieve democratic management and consolidate the peoples’ fraternity on the fundamentals of the democratic nation.”

Our revolution began from Kobanî to include most parts of the Syrian north starting from Kobanî to Afrin, Manbij, al-Raqqa, al-Tabqa and Deir ez-Zor. This revolution proved to the world that the people of the Syrian north love freedom and can manage themselves based on the principle of free will.

Al-Hassen added that women have proved their pioneer role in this revolution by working in all spheres of life; the military to the political, cultural and social fields, to add the special color of Rojava revolution to the other revolutions in the area and even the world.

Al-Hassen confirmed that the July 19th Revolution is continuing until a pluralistic democratic, decentralized Syria is built.

Furthermore, the meeting ended with congratulating the success of Rojava Revolution by the people.
