Middle East youths announced 2nd conference’s preparations

The Middle East Youth Initiative issued a statement to the public opinion, in which they announced their preparations for the second conference of the Middle East youths, and the statement was read at the center of Youth Diplomatic Relations in Qamişlo city by the member of the preparatory committee of the Middle East Youth Conference Talal Assi, and the statement included,

"We, the youths of Syria with all its components and beliefs, announce launching the Middle East Youth Initiative, and our goal of forming this initiative came due to the state of crisis witnessed in the Middle East; wars, sectarian and religious contradictions and the intervention of the imperialist forces that aim at tearing the fabric of society in the Middle East, and looting the will of the Middle East peoples to serve their interests in the area. The Middle East is the cradle of civilizations, the homeland of prophets and philosophy, the land of goods and donation; therefore, we have become the center of the capitalist forces’ ambitions that turned it into a center of chaos, wars and crises to loot, destroy and exploit it.

Therefore, since the Middle East was the center of the search for truth and freedom on one hand and was the basis for building the system of state and authority on the other hand, this has led to deepening the problems in this area in addition to the problems we mentioned. There are many other problems; the problem of women's freedom and the problems of the capitalist system’s mentality that lead to dividing the society and creating the individual selfishness. To counter the schemes of the imperialist systems and the reactionary forces in the Middle East and on the basis of these goals, we appeal to all youth organizations in the Middle East to join this conference to build a democratic and free Middle East with the vanguard of young people as they are the broad-minded category to the intellectual change."
